A Fatty Arbuckle Reprise!
The Senate is currently down and self quarantined like the rest of you! (Hopefully)
We thought you might miss us too much during this tough time, so we're going to do our best to bring you some awesome Senate programming during quarantine.
Back in January, we hosted a Silents at the Senate screening honoring silent comedy legend Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle. Saturday, March 21st, we're presenting The Rounders (1914) and The Waiters' Ball (1916) for your entertainment. The score which you'll hear was magnificently performed by Andrew Rogers on the Senate's mighty Wurlitzer Theater Organ. Special thanks to CineMuseum LLC for the use of these films.
Join us on Facebook at 8 pm every Saturday night during quarantine for a Watch Party and let's chat about the films and performance.
While the theater is down, consider making a donation to the Detroit Theater Organ Society to help us through quarantine.
Enjoy the show!
