The Finale of the 2021 Summer Outdoor Series
Ann Sheridan and Dennis O'Keefe star in this incredibly tense and interesting film.
"Frank Johnson (Ross Elliott), sole witness to a gangland murder, goes into hiding and is trailed by Police Inspector Ferris (Robert Keith), on the theory that Frank is trying to escape from possible retaliation. Frank's wife, Eleanor (Ann Sheridan), suspects he is actually running away from their unsuccessful marriage. Aided by a newspaperman, Danny Leggett (Dennis O'Keefe), Eleanor sets out to locate her husband. The killer is also looking for him, and keeps close tabs on Eleanor."
In 1990, the Senate Coney Island, located directly to the left of the Senate Theater, burned down and never reopened. Now, it's repurposed as an outside movie venue so we can take the Senate movie going experience to the great outdoors!
In the summer of 2020, local artists Blight Hernandez and Naye-Taye hand painted a 400 square foot mural inside the lot that replicates a movie screen and curtains. We'll be projecting films all summer long into this incredible piece of art.
