Silent Film Series Secures Support!

We are thrilled to announce that the silent film series, Silents at the Senate, is receiving financial support from the Knight Arts Challenge and Creators of Culture. Their support will enhance our series that celebrates the unique experience of watching a silent film at the Senate Theater, accompanied by a performance on the Mighty Wurlitzer, one of the greatest instruments ever built to accompany film.

In addition to screening a diverse array films, like the horror Nosferatu and sultry romance Beyond the Rocks (Nov. 23, staring Rudolph Valentino and Gloria Swanson!), we will be providing tours of the organ chambers and opportunities for the audience to engage in a question and answer sessions with our guest artists about their approach.
